Our Program

Registration Fees: The registration fee for PYB is $78. This fee is applied to the cost of tournaments. The
registration fee may be paid in two installments; with the first installment (½) the fee due by December 1st and the
second installment due by February 1st (see attached form). Scholarships are available based on financial hardship.
Please contact your team coach in the event your child needs a scholarship. All requests are kept confidential. Please note that team parents will be collecting PYB fees and submitting them to the treasurer.

Uniforms: PYB provides game uniforms and practice jerseys. Participants are required to pay a $50
uniform/jersey deposit by separate check. The check will not be cashed. At the end of the season, the check will
be returned if the uniform is returned in good condition showing only normal wear and if all PYB fees have been
paid.

Deposit checks must be received in order to pick up uniforms/practice jerseys.

Uniforms will be handed out at the following times:

Fundraising: Funding for PYB comes from several sources including, participant registration fees, sponsorships
from local businesses, home basketball tournaments, and fundraising. In order to keep the fees down for all
participants, PYB expects participation in all fundraising events. PYB will be hosting our “2nd Annual Tip Off
Banquet” on Saturday, November 12th at the BARn.

To promote teamwork as an organization each team will be assigned to a committee:

Auction and Raffle: 6th & 7th grade boys/girls.

Fundraising for Sponsorships: 5th & 8th grade boys/girls.

Details of the committee work will follow at a later date.

League/Tournament Play: The PYB season consists of both league and tournament play. All grade levels
participate in tournament play. However, not all of the levels participate in league play. For those teams involved
in league, games are usually scheduled on Saturdays and take place in Platteville or one of the surrounding
communities. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the games. Coaches will give out schedules to the players once they are available.

Teams are provided with funds to participate in area tournaments in addition to the Platteville Tournament. The
team coach determines the tournaments. The coach/team parent will provide the dates of any tournaments.
However, actual game times are usually not known until the week of the tournament. All parents/guardians
are expected to assist with activities such as, working the concession stand, front entrance table, and
food donations at their child’s respective tournament.
Team parents will coordinate the volunteer schedule
for tournaments and/or hosted league games. Details regarding the tournaments will follow later in the season.

The dates for the Platteville Tournaments are as follows:

Please reserve these dates on your calendar!

Coaches/Team Parents: Each team has a volunteer coach and team parent. The team parent assists the
coach in communicating information to all the parents/guardians, coordinating volunteers, and collection of fees. If
interested in being the team parent, please contact your coach or a board member.
